These plug-in modules Integrate SecretAgent functionality (encrypt/sign/decrypt/verify)
into Microsoft Outlook 2000/XP/2003 making these functions available
for all e-mail messages composed and received in Outlook.
These builds only work with SecretAgent release 5.9 and above. (If you have
an earlier release of SecretAgent 5.x installed, you must either
upgrade to release 5.9, or download the Microsoft Outloook plug-in
for that older release.)
To install an Exchange/Outlook plug-in:

You may allow your browser to save the file to your disk, or open
and run it directly from our website.
2) Run the downloaded executable, if it is not started automatically by your
browser, and follow the instructions presented by the installation
program.
Warning:
Certain third party Outlook plug-ins will cause our plug-in to behave erratically. (In particular, at least some releases of Norton Anti-Spam automatically simulate a "user open" request on every message as it is received. This causes our plug-in to attempt to decrypt an encrypted message, or validate a signed message, before the user intentionally opens it for reading.) If you experience any problems along these lines, try disabling all Outlook plug-ins other than ours and then re-enable them one at a time until the offending plug-in has been identified.
Notes:
- You should install only one of these plug-ins and only after you have installed SecretAgent inself. SecretAgent release 5.7 or above is required.
- These plug-ins have been designed for Outlook 2000, XP, and 2003. They may work with other Microsoft Exchange 5.x clients, but have not
been designed for, nor tested with, older versions.
- This plug-in will not work if Outlook is configured
to use Word as its e-mail editor. (With Outlook 2000, you should
uncheck the checkbox "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages"
on the Mail Format tab of the Tools | Options dialog.)
- These plug-ins will not work with SecretAgent's FORTEZZA support.
- These plug-ins use HTML Help for quicker, easier access to online
help. Microsoft recommends using Internet Explorer 4 or later
to take full advantage of this feature.
- The new Outlook 2000-specific builds correct the following intermittent problems with the previous plug-in release:
- Outlook 2000 crashed when opening an encrypted S/MIME message
- The message contents window would not properly update when opening SA encrypted/signed messages
